Christos Tsogias-Razakov


Christos Tsogias-Razakov (Greece – 1993)

The oboist, Christos Tsogias-Razakov graduated from Royal Conservatoire of the Hague, where he studied oboe with Alexei Ogrintchouk, Karel Schoofs and cor anglais with Ron Tijhuis. Also, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Ionian University, Corfu where he studied oboe with Spyros Kontos and at the academic period 2013-2014 studied with Robertas Beinaris at LMTA, in Vilnius. He has been a member of Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra in Athens, Greek-Turkish Youth Orchestra, and of the Antwerp Youth Symphony Orchestra in Belgium. Christos studied at the postgraduate level at the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague as a scholar of Onassis Foundation. For the artistic period 2020-2021, Christos was appointed as the principal oboe of Athens Philharmonia Orchestra. 

In 2008 he participated in the 24o Panhellenic Wind Competition of SAOTH in Thessaloníki and gained the 1st Prize. In April of 2014 he participated in the V Lietauras Vebra International oboe competition in Vilnius and gained the 3rd Prize. In 2009 he gained a full music scholarship from Hellenic College of Thessaloníki.

He has attended master classes held by Maurice Bourgue, Heinz Holliger, Thomas Indermühle, Diethelm Jonas, Hansjorg Schellenberger, Omar Zoboli and Bart Schneemann.
