Ledion-Leonidas Zhupali



Ledion-Leonidas Zhupali is a trombone player living in Den Haag.

He studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with Pete Saunders and Timothy Dowling. He completed the minor in Education and followed the special Kodaly Method program. Currently Leonidas is following two master programmes:  the master in Trombone at the Conservatory of Maastricht with Bart Claessens and the Master in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.

He is a founder and member of the Trombone Quartet Slide Resistance, and plays with the May B band, Camus Duo (piano and trombone) and a brass quintet. He played with Philharmonia Amsterdam, the Metropole Orchestra Academy, the Orchestra of the Dutch Don’t Dance Division, The Royal Conservatory Orchestra and many others.

Leonidas is currently teaching in the Koorenhuis in The Hague and at the Leerorkest, a project of the Residentie Orkest. Since September 2017 he is the trombone teacher at the Ionian University, Corfu.
